“Electrified” Corvette On Its Way In 2023

If you were excited by the electric 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E, get ready because electric Corvettes are on their way.

GM President Mark Reuss told CNBC in a late April interview that 2023 will see the arrival of “electrified” Corvettes, i.e. a gas-electric hybrid. No word yet on if its traditional hybrid or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, or what the battery range or starting price will be.

Reuss also teased a fully-electric Corvette sometime in the future but didn’t give a hard timeline.

Like the Mustang, the Corvette is a classic sports car with a huge following and a lot of cultural prestige both in high-performance circles and the general public. It has one of the most recognizable silhouettes ever. We’re excited to see another high-profile ride bridge the gap between combustion, hybrid, and eventually fully-electric vehicles!
