Consumer Reports’ recent analysis on the latest Electric Vehicles (EVs) sheds light on essential considerations for potential buyers. Contrary to common perception, the EPA range for EVs doesn’t solely reflect highway performance.
Notably, Mercedes-Benz and BMW models surpassed expectations, achieving an impressive 70 mpg, surpassing their EPA estimates. However, the report highlights that some EVs, such as those from Lucid and Tesla, fell short of their projected ranges.
These findings underscore the importance of comprehensive evaluations beyond EPA figures, emphasizing the diverse performance of various EV models on real-world roads.
